New Series! Starts Sunday, August 31st

Ephesians 3:20-21: "God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us." Ephesians 3:20-21 (The Message)
Dan's Paraphrase of Ephesians 3:20-21: “de dunamai poieo huper ek perissos aiteo noeo, dunamis energeo”, which translates as “there is a spiritual energy at work, like a master artist in his studio, that is fashioning a masterpiece of creativity that is beyond your comprehension and you can’t even begin to understand how incredible and beautiful it is, it’s beyond what you think you know and it’s incorporating your passions and cravings for significance, meaning, and purpose”

Questions For Further Reflection - September 7th

Further Reflection - September 7th
God created us natural born risk takers and change-makers. Then we learn
to be risk-avoiders. The great irony of life is that when we’re young we
naturally risk, but as we mature we realize in order to stay alive we have
to minimize our risk taking. Then as we find ourselves in adulthood, we
realize the opposite, that to stay the same and not risk, not change, is to
die.

Questions For Further Reflection:
  • Change is required for progress. We intuitively know this, so why is it so hard to embrace it when it comes?
  • “…sometimes you need to bring change; sometimes you need to be changed…” Which one of these can you relate to the most right now in your life?
  • What needs to change in your life right now?
    · Mind
    · Attitude/Heart
    · The physical world: actions/behaviors/friends

Questions For Further Reflection - August 31st

Questions For Further Reflection:

  • In Mark 9, a father asks Jesus to heal his son "if he can". Jesus replied, "Anything is possible if a person believes." The man said he believed but he wanted Jesus to "help him in his unbelief". Can you you relate to this man? In what way?
  • Explain why it is important to "imagine" the person you were meant to become, the life you were meant to live, and the world we are called to create.

WHAT IF…you could live your life as if anything were possible?

WHAT IF…you could wake up each morning awake to the unlimited possibilities for that day?

WHAT IF…you didn’t waste one more minute trying to convince everyone else of your potential but starting actually living it?

WHAT IF…you stopped asking yourself “what if” and started saying to yourself “why not”?

“If I were to wish for anything I should not wish for wealth and power, but
for the passionate sense of what can be, for the eye, which, ever young and
ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints, possibility never.
And what wine is so sparkling, what so fragrant, what so intoxicating as
possibility?” -Soren Kierkegaard
